›› What do the values under the Recovery tab of the service properties dialog mean?

The Recovery tab gives you the limited ability to restart services if they should fail. While Windows allows you to restart your services, applications, such as Service Hawk, can be configured to restart your services, as well as send various notifications to alert you that your service has gone down. These notifications are tremendously valuable in alerting you to the fact that your services are going down so that you can determine as quickly as possible the root cause of why that may be.
